| Last bank holiday weekend saw some much needed digging done at Foelgasnach. Track 1 had a real face lift and had the rock garden extended to to enable easy/faster transition across which was before a real sticky area. Along with a a 25 meter section been overhauled and digging through the years of pine needles down to the clay/rocky hard pack. the work has transformed the track to a much faster and enjoyable ride. Wood was delivered via one of the riders, which in the coming months will transform track 3 and help to shore up other parts of the hillside really big thanks to Jim for the wood which would have set the club back at least a few hundred pounds and wouldn't have compared to the quality supplied. It was nice to see a few new faces up at the track on Friday and again on Sunday. there should be another digging day organized in the up and coming weeks with summer on it's way we really want to get track 3 running. riding on Sunday saw one of the driest I've seen the track and nearly warranted changing the spikes for the old swamthings when the forestry works are done in the next few months we may even get the Highrollers on, now there's wishful thinking! |  |
