Crash Test Dummies Round 2 |
| On the up lift to my race run I was still in two minds whether to run the gully or not . When I went past the track crossing on the fire rd, we saw they had put a pallet in the hole which had been created after the steep off camber. When I came down only 30 minutes later it had gone again, no mention from the marshals of any changes. I came flying round the corner to find the bloody hole there again, really that is shit and not to mention dangerous. We heard that the Elite riders had a Gentlemen’s agreement that they were all going to run the gully, so Andy Williamson and myself agreed to do the same, in for a penny in for a pound. Which I have to say really paid off. After my race run I thought I’d have a walk up the track to speak to some of the riders and spectators and I have to say there were a lot of pissed off people. I have to say the spectators loved it, if you like to see carnage and destruction then Rugog Farm really had to be the very best……. |

| If you wanted to cane it down a hill at 35 mph, then you’d have more chance on your arse. I have to say it really wasn’t the track to run at this time of year, people said it hadn’t bedded in enough, I say some of it hadn’t been frigging marked out before. Saturday night so how could it bed in???? I love the fact that it’s a new venue and that it’s another track which could be great in the summer fair play!!! I spoke to Dai Evans the farmer a couple of weeks back and he said he’d been wanting an event here for four years. Jason had approached him but wanted to dig a track and the national park wouldn’t allow it. I saw on the dragons web site that he’s complaining that this race could scare the |
hill side. Well wouldn’t "digging a track down the hill with a 360 excavator and surface it" do that, really I feel there is an element of bias in his comments or is it just me? I have to say Dave Morgan needs to get his act together, even a simple thing like getting my sponsor correct was too much trouble and I even wrote it down three times, once on my entry form, I sent him an email from that awful contact page he has the cheek to call a web site and again when I signed on and still he got it wrong. Please how hard is it? I now see that posted on the web sites that i'm sponsored by Corwen Carpets just as well I know the company. |
